John C. Bintz
Founder and President
Mr. Bintz has spent seventeen years in the investment banking industry. Eight years were spent in the institutional fixed income side of the business selling and trading municipal bonds.
He was Vice-President of Institutional Sales for three different Wall Street based Investment Banks. He engaged in the selling and trading of over $2.0 billion of municipal securities over this period. His clients included institutional money managers, banks, insurance companies and investment advisory firms.
The last nine years of investment banking related services have been specifically directed towards private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions advisory activities in the middle markets arena. Mr. Bintz has directed the financing processes involving client relationships; including deal origination, contract negotiation, due diligence, offering memorandum preparation, valuation analysis, strategic planning, "road show" marketing presentations to qualified investor/acquisition candidates and closings. Industry experiences include transactions involving the Internet, e-commerce, entertainment, retail, information technology, consumer products, software, telecommunications, financial services, transportation and manufacturing.
He has successfully authored dozens of Business Plans/Confidential Information Memorandums for different companies in various investment stages. These documents are used for private equity financing and straight sale efforts.
Mr. Bintz has lectured extensively on numerous entrepreneurial management and finance-related topics at investment conferences and universities throughout the United States. Having served as a White House Staff Advance Aide for Vice President Dan Quayle and as a legislative aide to the minority leader in the Michigan House of Representatives, Mr. Bintz also brings political acumen to his approach. Mr. Bintz is a Series 7 and 63 Registered Representative and a licensed securities dealer. He is a member of the Michigan State University Alumni Association. He is a regular panelist on the syndicated financial news and information networks of WebFN, e*Trade and Business First.
Mr. Bintz is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BBA in Financial Administration (1986) and from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business where he holds an MBA in Finance and Economics (1995).
